Please take a moment to meet our principle associates. Our associates have a variety of backgrounds and skills that help us meet the objectives of our clients.

Denny Burgess
Senior Partner

Denny served in the Kansas House of Representatives for ten years. During that time he served on many of the major committees, including Ways & Means, Federal and State Affairs, Labor & Industry, Commercial & Financial, Institutions, and Public Health & Welfare. He also served as assistant majority leader during his last two-year term. Since 1983, Denny has been a full-time lobbyist. He joined the firm in 1989 and serves as our chief legislative strategist.

Tom Burgess
President

Tom has been lobbying full-time with the Kansas Legislature since he graduated from Washburn University in 1986. He also lobbied part-time his last two years of college. Upon graduation, he started the firm.

He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Washburn University.

Vickie Burgess
Communications Consultant

Vickie has been following Kansas politics for the last 14 years. She joined the firm full-time in 2002 after monitoring legislation part-time in the past.

Jim Burgess
Technology Consultant

Jim joined the firm in 1989 and serves as the technology consultant. He helps keep our network running smoothly. He began tinkering with PCs back in 1991 and has been experimenting with various networking components and high-end AV systems since.
